Why Use Indoor Tanning Lotion?
Using a lotion while tanning in a salon is equally important as when tanning outdoors, but operates on a different premise. While tanning delivers the highly desirable color and relaxing benefits that tanners seek, the heated environment of the tanning bed can be very drying to the skin.Designer Skin High Maintenance & Neurotic

Throughout the tanning process, it is very important to replenish the skin with moisture and nutrients. Using a lotion that is specifically formulated for indoor tanning use with hydrating and skin-repairing ingredients is essential for proper skin care and to help achieve a healthier-looking, longer-lasting tan.

Indoor tanners should diligently and carefully apply lotions both before AND after tanning. The type of lotion used is also important, and varies by the method of tanning chosen as well as by skin type.

The F.D.A. is responsible for regulating all sun-beds and tanning booths used in salons and are considered as Class II Medical Devices. By regulation, there are standardized amounts of UV exposure with a combination of both UVB and UVA rays specifically intended to minimize burning.

A nice healthy tan can make your figure look more fit and slim.

Research shows regular moderate sun exposure my decrease your risk of getting breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate and ovarian cancer, even Alzheimer's disease. And according to the American Association of Retired Persons, 15 minutes of sunlight exposure each day may help prevent osteoporosis. No wonder more than 30 million Americans use tanning beds religiously.

Tanning reduces stress. And no wonder. National studies indicate sunshine promotes beneficial changes in mood chemistry. It's especially helpful in dealing with winter depression or S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder), which are both related to light deprivation.

Tanning is a good thing, a natural body process – it's the way your skin protects itself from sunburn. Sunburn and overexposure are your skin's enemies. Indoor tanning clients are 81% less likely to sunburn than no-tanners because tanning salons today are teaching people to respect the sun and avoid sunburn.
